About the Artist: Caity Serva
Based in the Boston area, Caity specializes in contemporary realism with a focus on animal subjects. Her work hopes to explore the complex relationship of animals and humans in the modern world. Whether it's a quiet portrait of a familiar creature or something more wild or surreal, she hopes her work invites reflection: on how we see animals, what they mean to us, and how we see ourselves through them.
Caity works as a physician assistant in internal medicine. When she is not working, crocheting, or painting she enjoys snuggling with her dog, Lentil, playing video games with her husband, and reading books the size of bricks. She also enjoy hoarding art prints from her favorite artists but never actually committing to hanging them on her walls.
